Great weather and course conditions made for a wonderful day on August 17 at the Highlands and Pioneers courses as the Lincoln Senior Men’s Golf League wrapped up the 2022 league.

Two courses were used to accommodate all members wishing to play this unique format of Drop Out Scramble with 124 golfers at Highlands and 48 at Pioneers. As tradition dictates, an excellent burger lunch was offered to all.

The winners of the red, white, blue and green flights received gift certificates and were photographed. Two pin prizes were awarded to Highlands for closest to the pin on the 8th hole, won by Randy Abbott, and longest putt on 17, won by John Bakula.

Two awards were also presented to the Pioneers for closest to the pin on the 7th hole, won by Jerry Liess, and longest putt on 18, won by Paul Young.

The league’s Fall Fun Days began Wednesday, August 24 at Tiburon Golf Course in Omaha.
