Halloween fun in Cornelia and Clarkesville tonight
It was two nights before Halloween, and all over the county, kids were on the run⦠looking for candy!
Tonight the towns of Cornelia and Clarkesville are hosting their downtown events, where kids can shop for treats at local businesses, meet town officials, play games and have more fun on Halloween.
Even though the weather has been wet and cold, trick-or-treaters flock to show off their costumes and fill their bags with goodies.
âEven though the weather hasn’t been the best, I really feel like people showed up and enjoyed the day,â said Lindsey Fitzgerald, Cornelia’s tourism coordinator. “I love seeing all the kids in the costumes, it’s really cute, and all the adults who dressed up too.”
Cornelia’s candy or treat event ends at 6 p.m., but there are even more treats for kids, young and old, to get their hands on. The downtown Clarkesville city trick-or-treating event starts at 5 pm and continues until 7 pm tonight.

Even after tonight’s festivities are over, there are still more Halloween events coming to Northeast Georgia, and you can find a full list of area events in Now Habersham’s Treat Tracker. .
